It is an act of worship held in a sanctuary that has been dedicated to God. New Haven Christian Church wedding ceremony is a part of the church and will include prayers, scripture and the sharing of the wedding vows. The music is also appropriate for a worship setting. Our minister, Reverend Arnold Harris Benitez will be happy to work with you as you plan for a meaningful and worshipful wedding ceremony. The ceremony is a rite of the church and final decisions rest with the minister. Guest ministers are welcomed, if arranged well in advance with Reverend Benitez. Marriage is so Godly that God’s Word compares it with heaven’s greatest miracle of union —the joining of God and man—the Bride of Christ with Jesus Christ. </div> <div> The world has the idea that marriage is simply a legal contract. It <I>is</I> a legal contract and we do not make light of that. At the same time, it is a spiritual contract. When the words of faith are spoken according to the Word of God between two born-again believers, the power of God goes into operation. There is an actual miracle that takes place when the faith of these two people is released in God’s power. God honors their faith and brings them into union together. In light of that, marriage is taken very seriously here at New Haven Christian Church. In this brochure, the most frequently asked questions concerning weddings at New Haven are answered:</div> <bR> <div> <B>INITIAL REQUISITES:</B></div> <div> Both bride and groom must be Christians.</div> <div> Both must be faithful in attendance to the house of God.</div> <div> Both must be faithful tithers and financially support the Kingdom of God.</div> <bR> <div> <B>AVAILABLE FACILITIES AND FEES:</B></div> <div> If it is determined that both the bride and groom are faithful in attendance and financial support of this church, and the pre-wedding counselor gives a good report of the prospective union, any facility that New Haven has is available for wedding use <U>with the exception of the Main Sanctuary</U>. <I>(Please be advised that the financial records are accessed for accurate information in the case of wedding applications.)</I></div> <div> In this case, all fees are waived because of your faithfulness and the fact that you are actively supporting this church with your finances.</div> <div> For those who are not financially supporting New Haven Christian Church, or for non-members, the following rental fees apply:</div> <bR> <div> <B><U>New Haven Family Life Center:</U></B></div> <div> Sanctuary $300.00 <I>(fee covers rehearsal & wedding)</I></div> <div> Fellowship Hall Please look at the <FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Times New Roman" ><B><U>HALL RENTAL .</U></B></FONT></div> <div> There is an additional fee of $100 for a Sound Technician <I>(fee covers both rehearsal and wedding)</I>.</div> <div> There is an additional fee of $125 for a Building Coordinator <I>(fee covers both rehearsal and wedding)</I>. This person is responsible for unlocking and locking up, air-conditioning, general information as to what can be moved and what cannot, etc.</div> <div> A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to get the date put on the church calendar. <I>(However, if you do follow through with the facility rental, the deposit will be applied to said rental.)</I></div> <div> The night before the wedding is normally when the wedding rehearsal takes place. There is no extra fee for that unless you plan to have a rehearsal dinner.
